Workshop: OVERLOCKER – LEARN TO USE YOUR OWN
Saturday 20th January 2018 10am-4pm
Bring your own overlocker and learn how to control all the settings!
This workshop will firstly guide you through your overlocker, the tensions, cutting width and differential feed dials, we are assuming you can already thread your overlocker but assistance will be available.
In the afternoon we will be putting this all to use on a simple Stretch Garment of your choice. Guiding you through the handling of the fabric and the best order to put together as this can be different to using your sewing machine. Please be aware that some finishing may be required at home using your sewing machine.
What to bring:
- Overlocker with Foot control and accessories,
- Simple Stretch Garment fabric pieces cut out with pattern attached,
- 4 Matching Threads
- Any Notions from pattern,(e.g elastic)
- If you are unsure about cutting this can be done on the day with tutors assistance but this will reduce how much you will get done on the day.
We also offer a ‘next level’ of mastering the overlocker with Garment Contraction workshop
Coffee, tea and biscuits included!
Bring and share lunch
