Make a pair of knickers, Tutor: Katharina Child
Saturday the 12th August from 2-5pm
Part of SIT select festival 2017
Learn how to make knickers like the knickers tree knickers from ‘Made in Stroud’. You will learn how to cut out from pattern and combine fabrics. You will learn how to sew in the elastic and give it a go on the overlocker. Everyone who feels brave enough to give it a go on a sewing machine can participate. You will end up with a pair of knickers, skills, and pattern to make more.
Material is included but you are welcome to bring your own or choose some from our community scrap box. We will recommend a light woven cotton fabric (not stretchy) like the classical Liberty cotton fabric but a man dress shirt will also be perfect. We will also provide the elastic.
Coffee,tea and biscuits included.
